A comfortable club house lets members retire at the end of a good days shooting.  Even if you have never tried target shooting, you can come along and give it a go under supervision.

Minors must be accompanied by a supervising adult. We have been in operation for 40 years and have about 35 members.  This sport suits a wide range of people. While physical fitness is an advantage, the sport does not rely on physical strength. All sexes and all ages compete on an equal basis.

HRSL R/C clubhouse

A grading system divides competitors into A, B and C grades using scores from last year. The 100 metre range is opened on selected Saturdays for Small bore rifle practice. This means that membership of this target rifle club can be used as a reason for both Class A and B, when applying for a Firearms Licence.

As an accredited hunting club, membership also provides a genuine reason for adding a Hunting category to your NSW shooting licence. We do not cater for automatic weapons, pistol or shotguns. These require membership of other shooting clubs.

The main aims of HRSL R/C:

  • to provide a support network for Club members as they enjoy an afternoons sport and recreation.

  • to provide a competitive environment to extend the serious shooter's ability.

  • to facilitate long range target shooting.

  • to support traditional R.S.L. values as a Sporting Body Sub-Club of Hornsby R.S.L. Club Inc.

  • to take all steps possible to ensure that practice in this sport is conducted in a secure and safe manner.
