Program
			In May, each year the Hornsby Range Management Committee sets out a template that co-ordinates range useage. Our HRSLR/C trophy and medal competitions are then added to this template, resulting in our Range Program which is issued to members, in June, at the AGM.
Note: HRSLR/C is Duty Club in January/Feburary 2012, HRSLR/C has an Annual Presentation 41st dinner on 27th August 2011, HRSLR/C AGM is on 30th June 2012 and due to the sun being low in the sky, in June, the NSDRA stops shooting, through June, for maintenance, championships and AGM.

	< BELOW IS EXPLANATION OF TERMS USED >

Explanation of terms used in the Range Program:
Targets:		Hornsby RSL R/C uses three (3) of the 14 targets available on the 800 metre main range at Hornsby. The Clubs rotate across the range to a different set of targets every 2 months.



Range:		The distance/range varies each week from 300 to 800 metres. Members practice most Saturdays, but some Saturdays days are set aside for Team competition within the NSDRA Association. There is limited practice time after 3.30 pm on these Team competition days.

Range Duty:		Each club in the NSDRA sets up and packs up the range and provides Range and Butts Officers for 2 months of the year. ( Not a good time to organise a hunting trip :)

Monthly Medals:		Competitions for Full bore and Fclass monthly medallions appear on the range program. The competitions for F class standard, .303 and Smallbore may require different ranges/targets and they fit within this framework as required.

June break:		Hornsby range faces west and shooters face the low winter setting sun. This makes sighting impossible and the long range NSDRA shooting stops throughout June. Clubs hold their AGM and working bees.

Open Comps:		Dates for some of the Open Competitions held around NSW are included on the range program. Members with firearms licence, grading card and a competitive spirit are encouraged to extend their skills through competition.

ISSF 300M:		At 8.45 am every Wednesday the ISSF 300M club shoot 60 shot matches at 300m on the Hornsby range. Membership of HRSLR/C is a good introduction if you wish to join this activity.
