HRSL R/C Grading Rules:

For the allocation of trophies each year this club has an internal grading system, applied to the weekly scores, through the year, by the statistician. This divides the club into three roughly equal A, B and C internal grades.

SSR Grading Rules section:

There are three NSWRA grades in this sport, based on an average of your recent weekly scores, as set out in the screen capture opposite. This also shows, for full bore, the grade levels as set in the Standard Shooting Rules:

"A" grade is an average of 97.5 and above,

"B" grade is 94.5 and above, to below 97.5,

"C" grade is below 94.5.

Beginners start in C grade, and in the beginning start in a "C grade tyro" section. You stay in the tyro section until you win a cash prize in Open competition, then you progress to C grade.

NSWRA Grading Card:

After payment of fees through each rifle club to the NSWRA, the NSWRA issues each shooter with a Grading Card. This shows the shooters Grade, Club and other information.

A current, signed, Grading Card is required to be presented, along with your current photo ID Shooters Licence, as you enter Open Competitions.

Most of the fees go toward insurance cover.

As an Incorporated association Hornsby RSL Rifle Club No.385 Inc. has a constitution which forms the rules governing members. This constitution was updated when we became a hunting, as well as target shooting rifle club. Members are required to join our mother club, Hornsby RSL Club Inc., so members are bound by the rules there, and by our Association with the North Shore District Rifle Association Constitution.
